Laurie Dahlberg is Associate Professor at Bard College (Annandale, New York),where. she is jointly appointed to the programmes in Art History and Photography. A former curator and author of numerous publications on the history of photography, including Victor Regnanlt and the Advance of Photography: The Art of Avoiding Errors (2005), she is currently at work on a cultural study of early domestic photography.
Larry Fink (b. 1941) has been making images that explore the dynamics of social interaction since the early 1960s. His first book, Social Graces (1984),established his signature style of black-and-white photographs with strong shadows and highlights amplified by a hand-held flash. He began teaching photography in 1965 and has taught at Bard College (Annandale, New York), since 1986. Fink continues to pursue an active schedule as a freelance photographer.
