本书是北京市教育委员会实施的“北京市中等职业学校以工作过程为导向课程改革实验项目”的旅游服务与管理专业系列教材之一，依据北京市教育委员会与北京教育科学研究院组织编写的“北京市中等职业学校以工作过程为导向课程改革实验项目”旅游服务与管理专业教学指导方案和核心课程标准，同时参照相关国家职业标准编写而成。本书分为六大模块，其主要内容来自于对旅游典型职业活动的综合分析，以旅行团情境会话作为载体，依照旅游服务工作过程的顺序和学生的认知规律展开，符合职业人才成长规律和教育规律，有助于实现学生职业能力的螺旋式上升。本书可作为中等职业学校旅游服务与管理专业及相关专业的教材。
