Il-ho devotes himself to taking care of orphans at his own orphanage. One day he happens to meet a woman called Juri-e. She is intelligent but has been leading a dissolute life since she was deserted by her first love. While Il-ho tries to comfort and encourage her, they fall in love. People around Il-ho criticize him for loving a dissolute woman, but he doesn't budge. At the wedding, he again swears that he will devote himself to taking care of orphans.
