本书在东亚和欧洲国家范围内选取了六个具有代表性的国家：意大利、英国、德国、日本、中国、新加坡，从建筑保护的立法发展、管理体制、资金政策等三个角度对他们的保护制度进行详实解读，并以此为基础对东亚和欧洲国家的建筑遗产保护制度展开综合比较与深入分析。首先，介绍了代表性国家的保护运动发展，以此为背景来梳理这些国家在建筑遗产保护领域的立法发展，总结出他们目前适用于各自建筑保护领域的主要保护法律法规。从文化遗产学角度对这些法律法规中涉及建筑保护的重点条款进行解读与分析，通过比较发现东亚和欧洲国家在建筑保护立法中的异同之处。其次，从中央、大区／地方、咨询委员会、社团组织四个层级，介绍了代表性国家在建筑遗产保护领域的主要管理机构及职责，从宏观角度入手提炼出这些国家在建筑保护中的现行管理体制框架，并总结出东亚和欧洲国家建筑保护领域中存在的两种类型的管理体制：分散化与集中化的管理体制，从历史学、社会学等角度探讨了产生这两种不同管理体制特点的动因及目前的发展趋势。最后，从直接资金和间接资金两个层级来介绍代表性国家在建筑遗产保护领域的资金政策，运用数据和案例详细介绍不同国家的建筑保护项目的资金来源，解析直接和间接资金在实际保护项目中所发挥的作用，分析间接资金在东亚和欧洲国家建筑遗产保护领域中的重要性，并对如何推动间接资金渠道建设提出了策略性建议。

许可：本科、硕士毕业于重庆大学，硕士专业为建筑设计及其理论，后公派赴德国留学，进入德国德累斯顿工业大学建筑学院攻读博士，专业方向为建筑保护与设计，于2017年7月获德累斯顿工业大学工学博士学位。当前于重庆交通大学任教，主要研究领域为历史建筑保护与再利用、工业遗产改造更新设计。
