曹福亮Cao Fuliang is an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, doctor of forest ecology from UBC, professor silviculture and former President of Nanjing Forestry University. Being engaged in research on ginkgo, Professor Cao has won more than 10 protection rights of new plant varieties and over 50 authorized patents. Besides, he has published 15 books and more than 400 academic papers. As a winner of 4 second prizes and 1 third prize of the national science and technology progress award as well as more than 10 ministerial and provincial scientific and technological progress awards, Professor Cao has made outstanding contributions to the development of ginkgo industry and the construction of modem forestry in China with his research results being vigorously promoted in 28 provinces and regions across the country.
