《2022国际医学教育研究前沿报告》是本系列丛书的第五册，也是重要的阶段性总结。因此，本报告通过文献计量学和文本挖掘技术，基于Web of Science数据库，全面梳理并揭示了2021年度全球医学教育的发展状态和前沿热点；回顾并比较了二十年来（2001-2020年）全球医学教育的发展状态和研究热点：聚焦全球医学教育教学研究，分析教育教学板块的发展状态和前沿热点：构建医学教育研究领域专有的EI机构统计排名；解析国际医学教育研究期刊，描绘其外部特征和发表兴趣取向，为医学教育研究者提供重要参考。同时，在本年度的研究前沿报告中，与时俱进地引入了重点研究议题“医学教育模式的实践与展望”进行专题介绍，以期能够帮助全球的医学教育研究者、工作者紧跟时代步伐，共促医学教育的长足发展。
