《美国文学新编》（修订版）作者系河北师范大学一线文学教师胡荫同等。2001年出版版，全书包括文学史和选读两部分内容，按历史分期揉合在一起讲解。从美国诗歌、散文、小说、戏剧四个方面选取了经典选篇，修订版的选篇数量亦有所增加。此外新增了课后练习、附录（包括文学术语和参考答案）。
