Beijing's ancient trees are like distinguished elders. It seems that they, though silent, have their own unique personalities. Many have deep wrinkles and bulging lumps on their bark or have robust girths that prove their great heritage.
This book tells the story of Beijing's tree.
It is hoped that through these walks there will be a growing appreciation of the verry special role these tress have as Beijing's riving fiisto and that this awareness will help encourage us all to respect the environment of these "sratesmen" of long ago so that they can continue their life spans to meet the generations to come.
