As stated in the Science Plan for Asian Monsoon Years (AMY 2007--2012) (Wang et al. 2010), a number of monsoon research activities and field projects are being planned in the time frame of 2008--2010 in China, Japan, India, Korea and many other countries and regions. All funding supporting these projects comes from the individual nations. The AMY 2007--2012 will coordinate these national level projects into international monsoon research for the benefit of all interested parties.
