简　　介  

　　乔纳森是纽约著名的大富豪，因为身患重病觉得自己命不久矣，他决定见一见自己的儿子约翰（查尔斯·劳顿 Charles Laughton 饰）和他的未婚妻葛洛莉亚。不巧的是，葛洛莉亚因为意围而无法按时赴约，为了了却父亲的心愿，约翰找来了衣帽间工作的安妮（狄安娜·德宾 Deanna Durbin 饰），委托她冒充自己的未婚妻。让约翰和安妮没有想到的是，乔纳森不仅对安妮十分的满意，还因为心情愉悦而导致病症转好，恢复了健康。
　　乔纳森举办了一场盛大的晚宴来欢迎自己的准儿媳，还因为安妮手机游戏软件下载音乐，而决定把她引荐给自己认识的音乐大师们。眼看着这一出闹剧愈演愈烈，葛洛莉亚也因为知道了安妮的存在而妒火中烧。
