　　讲述了PJ哈维一张唱片的创作历程。作家兼音乐家哈维和屡获殊荣的摄影师谢默斯·墨菲达成合作。哈维想要在她的作品中写到几个国家，为了亲身体验这些国家的生活，她几次和墨菲一起踏上他的全球报导之旅。他们一起去了阿富汗、科索沃和华盛顿。哈维负责记录文字，墨菲负责拍摄照片。回去后，他们一起将资料制作成诗篇、歌曲，并在伦敦的萨默塞特宫以前所未有的形式将这些资料录制成一张专辑。在一个由单向玻璃建成的房子内，公众可以在保证不拍照的前提下观看这个长达五周的录制过程。墨菲将这个实验拍摄下来，作为他们私人旅行笔记的一部分。该片以他们在旅途过程中捕捉到的人和地点的影响为素材，以人性的体现为核心，讲述了这些素材变为歌曲和影片的过程。
