本书以新课程、新课标中的教育理念为指导，力求改进单元复习方法，优化单元复习过程，提高单元复习效率，提升英语教学质量。
单元复习是学科教学过程中的重要环节，通常按“单元知识梳理-单元习题训练-单元知识测验”三步进行。单元复习以巩固知识和提高能力为主要任务，使学生从宏观上把握单元知识的整体结构及内在规律，提高学生的思维能力和学习能力。单元复习要帮助学生对已经学过的知识进行重新回顾、梳理整合、重组结构，从而引导他们构建完整的知识体系，形成正确的认知结构。
