《21世纪大学新英语长篇阅读》是针对大学公共英语四六级考试中最新题型长篇阅读所编写的一套阅读教材，共分4册。每册有8个单元，每个单元包含3篇文章，练习设计包括最新四六级考试中规定的题型，辅之以其他类似的练习。在书后还配有答案以及自主学习光盘。
本书共分八个单元，每个单元由Text A、Text B和Text C三篇文章组成。Text A和Text B供课堂使用，Text C供学生课外阅读。
同时，为了提高学生的快速阅读能力和应对四六级机考，本系列教材还配有助学光盘，以方便教师和学生配套使用。
