刘雪英，张静主编的《珠宝简明实用英语》主要用于职业中学珠宝专业学生最后一个学期的英语学习，目的是使学生进入职场后能用简单、地道的英语跟客户进行交流。学生在，前几个学期学习了基础英语，听、说、读、写能力得到比较均衡的训练，而《珠宝简明实用英语》重点突出会话，在练习中辅以适量书面内容，目的是让学生掌握部分珠宝专业词汇和常用句型。
