There is an exquisite unity in Robert Breer's work that enables the disparate elements of our physical, conceptual and aesthetic experiences to be understood as part of a single entity. Always aware of and engaged with the experimentation of the avant-garde, Breer associated with such luminaries as Marcel Duchamp and Le Corbusier, Jean Tinguely and Nauru Gabo, yet his own character and perspective have remained both critically engaged and profoundly distinct for many decades.
