In modern times, Sunzi Art of War has enjoyed great popularity all over the world. At a meeting with Chairman Mao Zedong (1893-1976) of China in 1961, British field marshal Bernard Law Montgomery (1887-1976) proposed including Sunzi's Art of War as an official textbook of courses conducted at the World Military Academy.
