Dieter Roth was one of the most original and enigmatic figures in post-war European Art, creating an exceedingly inventive body of work in a wide range of media. "As a printmaker he had few competitors, whether in screenprinting, etching, colotype, stone-lithography, offset the Polaroid camera or the photocopier - if a medium didn't exist for the print he would discover it.
