Working as a vet, I have come up against animals such as large aggressive dogs and the odd crazy cat, but they were nothing compared to the dangerous creatures I met while filming around the world: lions, Komodo dragons,poisonous snakes and many more. But are these animals as deadly as we all think they are? Well... yes and no. In the right circumstances you can get quite close to many dangerous creatures with very little chance of getting hurt.I have picked up scorpions with their toxic sting and not been injured because I was shown how to handle them properly. There are lots of ways of handling poisonous snakes so as not to get bitten, but the best way is not to pick them up at all! Most animals are aggressive towards humans only when threatened.
