本教材是根据中山大学医学院等医学院校本科生使用的英文教科书所编写的英文实验教材，在上版基础上进行修订。为了验证和加强组织学与胚胎学理论课教学内容，本实验指导共设24章。除绪论外，每章含概述、实验要求、实验内容、示教和思考题。组织胚胎实验是在显微镜下观察细胞、组织和器官的微细结构，本版增加必要的典型图片，提高学生的学习效率，使内容更加丰富，满足不同层次学生的需要。本书可供医药院校双语教学和外国留学生班本科临床医学专业组织学与胚胎学实验课使用。
