　　圣诞前夕，11岁女孩佐伊·韦弗（艾米丽·亚哈伯曼 Amelia·Haberman饰）刻薄的养父母在自家双双被害，身体自燃烧成了焦炭，怪异案情让警方束手无策。为查找线索，协助警方办案同样身为养母的儿童心理学家瑞秋·斯图尔特（莫妮卡·恩格塞尔 Monica Engesser饰）和正受困于婚姻危机的警探迈尔斯·奥康纳（詹姆斯·雷 James Ray饰）探访了暂时安身儿科医院的佐伊。在不断接触和调查中，瑞秋发现佐伊不仅古怪、阴郁以恐怖玩偶“圣诞恶魔krampus”作伴，还有不为人知的可怕过去。
　　随着自燃案件陆续发生，瑞秋意识到似乎一切都与女孩和她的玩偶有关，清算才刚刚开始······
