◎简　　介
　　年轻少女贝丝?雷蒙德（Shannyn Sossamon 莎妮?索萨蒙 饰）正经历人生最恐怖的时刻。她的两位好友谢莉（Meagan Good 饰）和琳恩（Azura Skye 饰）短短几天内相继遭遇横祸，离奇死亡。更为恐怖的是，她们在死前的几天皆收到来自自己手机的语音短信，短信不仅预告了死期，还录下她们惊恐绝望的呼叫。此后几天，贝丝更亲眼目睹其他几位朋友的死亡，阴森肃杀的气氛在她们之间蔓延。
　　警察杰克（Edward Burns 饰）受命调查此案，与其他警探不同，他对贝丝的描述深信不疑，因为杰克的妹妹便是这一连串离奇事件的第一位牺牲者。两人达成共识，联合调查背后真相，而这时贝丝却接到了自己手机发来的神秘短信……
