　　当一个三十岁左右、充满魅力的女人厌倦了恋爱，却非常想要个孩子时，她会怎么做？ 朵拉是布达佩斯一家剧院的剧作家。一次偶然，她发现自己的未婚夫有妻有儿，郁闷地分手后，她决心再也不要跟男人扯上什么关系。她决定要生一个小孩，然后自己抚养孩子长大。事情的转机发生在一名叫托马斯的男子出现后。托马斯是剧院新来的一个演员，在朵拉改编的戏里出演男主角。这个男人身上汇聚了所有朵拉受不了的缺点：骄傲自大、无情、很有魅力但却非常花心。朵拉一边要挥别过去失败的恋爱经历，一边寻找能帮自己完成目标的男人，最后她找上了托马斯……
