　　约翰，曾经有一个幸福美满的家庭，贤惠的妻子，可爱的女儿是他一生最大的快乐，然而，身为一名警察的他，却因为屡获战功而得罪了很多黑道人士。某天晚上，在他回到家中时发现，妻子被人侮辱后杀害，而女儿的尸体也冷冰冰的躺在她小卧室的床上，四周布满鲜血。这一切成为了约翰的噩梦，每当他踏进这个曾今充满幸福，今日却鲜血满地的房子时，他都克制不住自己的情绪。
　　迈克和他可爱的妹妹安琪儿，曾是最底层的街头流浪者，因为毒枭洁的帮助，迈克带着妹妹脱离的贫困，但是迈克必须协助洁完成每一次的贩毒行动。这种危险而恐慌的生活，让迈克重新向往曾经虽然贫穷却有无限快乐的生活。一次任务中，迈克私藏了洁的货物，原本想就此可以过上正常人的生活，却没料到因此惹来杀身之祸。
　　约翰为了调查迈克的案件，将安琪儿带回了他的家，并将安琪儿想看待自己的女儿一样与她生活。因为迈克的死，没有找到毒品的洁绑架了安琪儿，种种的危险又重新摆在了约翰的面前。
