　　成为了亿万富豪后，善良的迪兹并没有改变自己行为处事的方式，利用这笔珍贵的财富，迪兹为小镇做了许多善事，他的诚恳为他赢得了人气和尊重。但并不是每一个人都像迪兹一样善良坦诚，贝碧（薇诺娜·瑞德 Winona Ryder 饰）就是其中的一个。受上司所托，她隐藏真实目的来到了迪兹的身边，企图挖到什么不得了的猛料，但随着时间的推移，她发现迪兹不仅是一个真正的正人君子，还是一个难得的值得托付终身的好男人。
