简　　介  

　　吉尔和队友奥拉是滑雪队中最有希望的种子选手。热爱这项运动的吉尔视滑雪为她选择的生活方式。为了参加奥运会资格赛，他们全力以赴地向极限冲刺。奥拉突然患了小儿麻痹症，从此退出赛场，孤军奋战的吉尔结识了以冒险和玩命著称的天才选手"疯狗"伯克，并得到他的欣赏和指点，她从此陷入了对伯克的情感旋涡。但是，伯克身边的女人使她意识到自己的实际处境。在一次比赛中，她发生了意围，脊椎骨折导致她自胸部以下失去知觉。高位瘫痪是她要面对的最大的敌人。从死亡线上被拉回来的吉尔顽强地开始了康复训练，以迎战生活中的一切艰难。在轮椅上，她给有同样不幸的孩子们讲课，这种经历启发她立志成为一名教师。她回到家乡的印第安保留地，在那里，缺乏师资的孩子们需要她，她终于可以靠自己的力量生活了。她的挑战精神和勇气赢得了伯克的心，他在她最需要的时刻来到身边，扶持她，关爱她，所以，她急不可耐地要告诉他。她邀请伯克来参加自己的生日晚会。但是，喜欢驾机飞翔的冒险王伯克却永远不可能与他深爱的人在人间重逢了。
