　　在《星际迷航的舰长们》中，夏特纳坐下来和许多位曾经的老朋友聊天，有“The Next Generation-《星际旅行：下一代》”的舰长帕特里克·斯图尔特，《星际旅行：重返地球》的舰长凯特·穆格鲁，《星际旅行：进取号》的Scott Bakula，《星际旅行：深空九号》的艾弗利·布鲁克斯，还有J·J·艾布拉姆斯的平行时空电影《星际迷航》中饰演James T.Kirk的克里斯·派恩。
　　《星际迷航的舰长们》这部纪录片放出了它的首支预告，看着这些我们熟悉的面孔穿越世代聚在一起看起来很有趣。而以访谈形式来回忆整个“Star Trek”世界的想法也是相当值得肯定的。看夏特纳和其他舰长们的互动很有趣，而夏特纳就是夏特纳，当被称作“Captain Spock”的时候，他先是客气地打招呼，然后很无辜地对摄像机说，我真的不是Spock啊……
