张兰主编的《小学英语默写高手(6下YL)》依据新版《英语课程标准》的要求及译林版3—6年级英语教材编写，每学期一册，每册以对应教材的单元为序，对单词、短语、句子、单元练习分别进行设计练习。每份默写练习与各年级的教学进度基本一致，并注意避免出现知识点前置、后延等现象，方便小学生同步使用。
本书以单元为编写线索，每单元设置两周的训练量，每周设置5～6次训练。
