本套“大学英语综合教程”(成人高等教育非英语专业本科用)是根据1986年国家教委审定的《大学英语教学大纲课程教学要求》(文理科本科用)编写，系云南省教育厅研究课题“云南省成人高等教育学位外语教学改革探索与实践”与昆明理工大学成人教育学院科研课题“成人高等教育本科英语教学体系改革”的研究成果之一。

这本《大学英语综合教程(成人高等教育非英语专业用上)》的作者是潘明。
