After the Second World War, in 1946 a glass competition organised by littala Glassworks initiated the co-operation between designers and the company. It is a story of the Finnish glass production showing the best results designed for the most by Tapio Wirkkala and Timo Sarpaneva. Triumphs at Milan Triennales in the 1950s ensured international acclaim for Finnish glass.
