Yasmina Khadra is the nom de plume of the former Algerian army officer, Mohammed Moulessehoul. He is the author of three other novels published in English, In the Name of God,Wolf Dreams and the acclaimed The Swallows of Kabul, shortlisted for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. The Attack was shortlisted for the Prix Goncourt, the Prix Femina and the Prix Renaudot and won the Prix des Libraires.
