剧情
　　5岁女孩莉萝（黛维·切斯配音）聪明善良，她最爱听猫王的老歌，也一直梦想拥有一只属于自己的宠物狗。一天，莉萝在姐姐的帮助下收留了一只流浪狗，她给这只狗起名叫史迪仔（克里斯·桑德斯配音）并希望史迪仔能够给自己的生活增添一份乐趣。但是莉萝万万没有想到的是，史迪仔并不是可怜的流浪狗，而是来自外星球的长着六支脚的危险分子，只是在流放中偷跑到地球上来的。
　　为了在地球上隐藏身份，史迪仔只能“忍辱偷生”，把自己的两只脚藏起来，让自己看起来像是一只狗，在和莉萝相处的日子里，小女孩的善良单纯让她和史迪仔成了形影不离的好伙伴。然而另一方面，制造出史迪仔的外星人也发现他逃走了，于是立刻全力出动，即使要搜遍宇宙也要将其逮捕归案！
　　当外星人终于在地球上发现了伪装的史迪仔时，他们绑架了莉萝想逼史迪仔就范，为了救回自己的好朋友，也为了证明自己不是无可救药的危险分子，史迪仔只有使出浑身解数，放“脚”一搏了……

　　这部动画片体现了迪斯尼求新求变的指导思想，引进了诸多科幻的元素，虽然并没有给人非常棒的感觉，过于突兀。但影片的画面却是一改现在流行的三维动画制作，改用二维的水彩画风，还原了动画片原始的真实。整个故事画面的特色非常明显——海滩、冲浪、酒会、歌舞……一切都充溢着浓浓的夏威夷风情。再加上点迪斯尼有趣的搞笑小技巧，可看性就更强了。影片并非迪斯尼最经典的作品，但颇有现代意识，有教育作用，但没有一丝教条味，家长看了肯定有同感。

　　本片是《星际宝贝》正宗续集，跟之前迪斯尼曾推出由《星际宝贝》电视影集引申出的另一部影音产品首映《星际宝贝史迪奇》并不同。本片回归原本电影，由原本电影故事来延续，故事的设定是紧接《星际宝贝》电影最后，比《星际宝贝史迪奇》及《星际宝贝》电视影集 发生的故事要早，因此不会发生 Stitch 寻找其他625个实验品的内容。本片故事是紧连当初电影，叙述星际宝贝 Stitch 终于获得正式允许，从此跟小女孩 Lilo 住在夏威夷一同生活，Lilo 想要参加一年一度的草裙舞大赛，以此来延续母亲过去的光荣事迹，Stitch 也在一旁帮助 Lilo 准备参赛，但没多久却发生了怪事，已经快充分融入当地生活的 Stitch 不知为何有了一些小毛病，做出一些十分奇怪的举动，难不成他故障了吗？ 原本看似小故障，但却愈来愈严重，甚至会危害到 Stitch 的生命。能解决问题的看来就只有 Stitch 的发明者－ Jumba 博士了，小女孩 Lilo 准备草裙舞比赛的同时，又要如何修好她的星际宝贝呢?
