　　《圣诞老人接班人》是一部发生在现代纽约的真人奇幻童话，将围绕一个魔法师和他不听话的学徒展开。这个魔法师正准备训练他的学徒，以帮助他对抗邪恶黑势力。 在当代的美国纽约的曼哈顿街区里隐居着一位魔法巫师巴尔萨泽·布莱克，他和魔法师女友维罗妮卡一直与自己的宿敌马克西姆·霍瓦斯在纽约的街头巷尾里对抗着。许多年来一直未分胜负，但是由于马克西姆凭借黑暗力量日益强大，巴尔萨泽深感自己不再是他的对手，因此他决定要训练魔法师的学徒来继承自己的衣钵，可被他寄予厚望的新徒弟戴夫·斯特特勒怎么看都不是这块料，他整天想着的不是魔法，而是心仪的女生贝蒂。 于是，为了将他训练成可以与黑暗势力对抗的魔法巫师，巴尔萨泽开始了一系列可以调动戴夫生存勇气的训练计划……


Santa doesn t want to retire, but rules are rules and he must train someone
to replace him. The lucky winner, to be chosen from among millions of
children, must be named Nicholas, be an orphan and have a pure heart. On the
other side of the planet, there is a little boy who is a perfect match, but
his lack of self-confidence and fear of heights make him a poor contestant.
Will Santa agree to step down, and help his apprentice take his place?
