      爱德华·蒙克（Edvard Munch，1863年12月12日—1944年1月23日），挪威表现主义画家和版画复制匠。他画作主题的强烈精神和感情，对心理苦闷的强烈的、呼唤式的处理手法对20世纪初德国表现主义的成长起了主要的影响。他的作品“吶喊”（挪威语Skrik，也译作《尖叫》，作于1893年）被视为后工业现代化的极度痛苦之象征。

1. 虽以16mm摄录，但本就是电视电影，生下来就为上电视
2. 所有后期流程（包括但不限于音频素材）在PAL环境完成
3. 所有非PAL发行（DVD，甚至可能包括35mm公映缩水版）都是整轨（final mix）作NTSC减速，导演贯穿全篇的旁白音色、部分对白男声低到下水道里的吐字、所有援引的古典音乐素材的音调/节拍，都充分体现这一点
4. MOC老DVD和新BD所用源素材不同，老版是原始PAL母本，新版是ProjectX一区母本，故老DVD音轨可视为原生，撸主倾向于老DVD轨的原因之一在于此。另一原因是新BD轨减速之余的渣降噪让人难以忍受。同时经反复测试，无论精度多高、参数多细、算法多好（Radius/DIRAC/MPEX），对老PAL轨做拉伸（保持音调）都会轻微（但可察觉地）折损底噪的流畅度和稳定度。所以决定不碰老音轨（为匹配新视频而进行的纯时域切割除外）而将新视频加速至25fps
5. 相比水下闷笼般的音色和强迫结扎般的音调很容易让人烦恼，4.27%的画面加速（尤其对于此片）几乎感觉不到

- Eureka‘s logo animation stripped
- Dirty pixels fixed by overlay and balanceborders.  
- Audio track from 2007 Eureka DVD with full mild hiss properly synched to the
(sped up) BD track and set prior. Matching degree ~99%.
The entire PAL speed-up of this encode based on facts that -
a) the long version of the film was originally and intentionally made for
     TV broadcasting in Europe, albeit was shot on 16mm.
b) post production of original audio stems was completely done in
     true PAL environment.
c) tracks on all non-PAL releases (presumably also including 35mm theatrical
     prints) were plain slow-downs with lower pitch and slower tempo
     in most parts including the whole narration, all music sources
     and some of the dialogues.
     And in the original (24/1.001p) BD track, one could easily catch some
     robot-like intonations from male voice here and there.
d) better not to touch the old PAL track as it‘s sourced from the genesis
     rather than a re-speedup of ProjectX slow-downs.
     Any additional processing in frequency domain would possibly distort
     the consistency and stability of background hiss.
e) eyes are more gullible than ears.
Processing monophonically (merely mixed down both channels of the        
`dual` mono as the only stereo image was derived from ambient noise)
in single-precision fltp and normalized according to EBU R128.      
- Original BD track hopelessly sped up in eac3to with SSRC resampler.
×Besides the pitch issue, the original BD track also suffers
  crude denoising and consequent defects such as significant boxiness
  and fluctuating noise echoes. Plus, the second half of the track
  (`part two` of the film) is mysteriously 2dB quieter than
  the first half (`part one`).
  Shame on Eureka.
- All DVD chapters checked and relocated.
- English subs OCR‘ed from BD and Chinese subs appropriately resynched.
