◎简　　介

　　被称作“赛道上的魔鬼”的赛车手阿伦·科比（罗纳德·刘易斯 Ronald Lewis 饰）在某次赛事邂逅了美丽的丹妮丝（Diane Cilento 饰），二人陷入热恋，并顺利走入婚姻殿堂。但在婚后不久，他们遭遇一场严重的车祸，事故一方的司机当场身亡，阿伦也遭受严重的脑震荡。出院后，阿伦和丹妮丝前往法国疗养，但那起车祸似乎让阿伦变得焦虑多疑，情绪极不稳定。他们在当地邂逅一名心理医师大卫·普拉德（Claude Dauphin 饰），普拉德称阿伦可能患上精神方面的疾病，这令丹妮丝担忧不已。
　　回到伦敦后，阿伦的精神几近崩溃，他生怕自己会杀掉妻子。为了调整好精神状态，他在丹妮丝的建议下来到普拉德的诊所接受治疗，似乎一切开始朝着好的方向发展……
