　　在电影档案馆工作的大卫，妻子爱丽丝与人外遇。一天晚上，大卫循着直觉来到运河边的一座房子，发现妻子与外遇对象双双毙命血泊之中，还有个人正在监视自己。这个人，与他在档案馆资料视频中看到的，一宗1902年谋杀案的凶徒一模一样。
