　　1960年冬，美国议员小休伯特?汉弗莱（Hubert Humphrey）与约翰?肯尼迪（John F. Kennedy）争夺美国总统竞选初选民主党内提名。本片记录了汉弗莱与肯尼迪在威斯康辛州竞选的实况，包括他们在路上、亲民游说、街头拉票、微笑签字、投票准备等竞选活动，重点覆盖了汉弗莱在威斯康辛北部对农民的游说和肯尼迪在麦迪逊的城市演说，以及肯尼迪妻子杰奎琳?肯尼迪的简短讲话。威斯康辛州竞选是肯尼迪总统竞选活动的转折点，从此肯尼迪正式进入媒体中心，改写了美国历史。
