◎简　　介

　　1992年秋，一个登山二人组在攀登喀斯喀特山脉的冰川峰时，突然人间蒸发了。
　　20年后，一架直升机盘旋在冰川峰白雪皑皑的山顶。后舱有个长期在阿富汗服役的美国特种兵布赖恩·坦纳。他是当年冰川峰失踪者之一杰克·坦纳的儿子，此番正在寻找他的父亲当年到底发生了什么。当滑雪前行的布赖恩来到一个悬崖谷底时，他的身后出现了一个狰狞的不明怪兽。布赖恩根本来不及逃脱......
　　布赖恩的妹妹尼娜，组织了一支由世界级的滑雪和登山高手的营救队，乘直升机抵达冰川峰，希望在24小时内找到布赖恩。在躲避和抗击了一场雪崩灾难后，尼娜一行在一个斜坡上的木屋发现布赖恩还活着！然而，当营救队得知冰川峰的传说真相，他们必须准备与恶劣的天气和不明怪兽战斗在下山的路上......
