　　比尔·希克斯是美国家喻户晓的喜剧明星。纪录片包括真实影像片段，以及数千张比尔·希克斯的照片，记录了希克斯在休斯顿老家的童年生活、成名后闯荡英国的经历以及最后成为美国喜剧大师的星路历程。
　　和其他缅怀故人的纪录片不同，这部电影并没有把基调定得过于沉重，而是穿插了许多比尔·希克斯的卡通造型和动画片段，给影片增加了不少幽默色彩，也更加符合比尔·希克斯“喜剧大师”的身份。
　　影片由英国导演马特·哈洛克和保罗·托马斯合作，花了3年时间拍摄完成，获得美国达拉斯国际电影节德克萨斯纪录人奖。
