◎简　　介　

　　故事发生在19世纪中叶，居住在维多利亚东北部地区的居民们生活苦不堪言，奈徳凯利（希斯·莱杰 Heath Ledger 饰）也是其中的一份子。从小，奈德就见识过了执法者的昏庸和腐败，在16岁那年，他由于莫须有的罪名被投放到了监狱中，这次经历让奈德迅速成长，成为了能够担负起家庭重担的可靠存在。然而，平静的生活并没有维持多久，当一个警察企图强暴奈德的妹妹凯特（凯瑞·康顿 Kerry Condon 饰），被愤怒冲昏了头脑的奈德狠狠揍了警察一顿。
