◎简　　介　

　　阿里是一位苏格兰场（指英国首都伦敦警务处总部）的警察，他出生于巴基斯坦的拉合尔，之后娶了一个英国女人，并育有两个孩子。在2005年7月伦敦连环爆炸案发生后，阿里奉命去调查一个相关的嫌疑犯，工作进展的很不顺利，同时身为穆斯林的他，尽管已经在苏格兰场工作多年，但是由于爆炸案，也受到了同事们异样的注视。虽然最后事情水落石出，但是期间受到的歧视与人们对爆炸案的恐惧，还是让他久久难以释怀。
