◎简　　介

　　影片以黑帮老大（马尔科姆·麦克道威尔 Malcolm McDowell 饰）第一人称的角度讲述了六十年代伦敦血雨腥风的黑帮恩怨。
　　名不见经传的街头小混混（保罗·贝坦尼 Paul Bettany 饰）幸运地成为了在当时伦敦城呼风唤雨的黑帮老大佛莱迪（大卫·休里斯 David Thewlis 饰）的手下。纸醉金迷的生活诱惑着他，金钱和地位更加让他心驰神往。佛莱迪似乎拥有一切至高无上的权利，走到哪里都只手遮天，吃香喝辣。不仅如此，佛莱迪生活奢侈又有品味，笔挺的西装和优雅的举止，更加使得小混混充满着羡慕和妒忌。渐渐地，这赤裸裸的欲望开始膨胀变质，在勾心斗角的黑帮势力开始交锋的时候，他甚至趁机想取代老大的位置。
