◎简　　介

　　丹?埃文斯（克里斯汀·贝尔 饰）在南北战争断了一条腿，得到政府小小的补偿，他和妻子艾丽丝还有两个儿子在亚利桑那的农场居住。然而，恶劣的气候和腐败之风却让丹负债累累，一些人想在建造铁路上获得暴利，他们想尽办法赶走埃文斯一家，家人开始质疑丹的能力。
