　　瑞茜·威瑟斯彭在本片中出演一位受害者的母亲，起初她坚信警方调查结果，而随着案件的深入，她逐渐开始怀疑这一案件的公正性。而科林·费斯在片中的角色是一位私家侦探，他是最初就站在被告一方的支持者，并且通过调查，列举了很关键的证据。他一直免费支援被告方，也因此在当时遭受了各种谩骂。
