简　　介  

　　1963年，密西西比州的民权运动领袖麦格艾维斯，在自家的车道上被谋杀，凶手是白人种族主义者布莱恩柏克伍斯，但是他却无罪释放，逍遥法外30年，正义在经过30年之后才出现一线曙光，这是否会太晚了呢？当年麦格被谋杀后，所以有力的证据都指出布莱恩是凶手，但是全由白人组成的陪审团二度无罪释放他。30年后，一位年轻的地方检察官巴比，决定重新审理这个看人以毫无胜算的案子，他在麦格遗孀玛丽艾维斯的帮助下，收集了足够的新证据后，对凶手进行第三次的起诉，最后终于使正义伸张。
