简　　介  

　　由伊哥·奥森斯导演的本片，讲述的是女主角珍妮基于对新婚丈夫的爱，来到从来没有一个白人女子涉足过的偏远牧场。当时，西方社会还是一个大男人主义的时代，不但黑人土着被歧视，白人女子也没有多少地位，所以珍妮在刚抵牧场时吃了不少的苦。然而越是艰难困苦的环境，越能产生坚强意志与斗志。
　　这段争取女权与女性地位的过程，是全片中表现最出色的地方。看完本片很容易使人联想到由薛尼波勒导演的《远离非洲》，两部片子同是根据女作家的经典名着改编。在拍摄方面，该片的大自然景观相当可取，带有一点美国西部片的味道，摄影配乐皆有水准，若能在节凑处理上爽快和精炼一点，当会让观众感到更加满意。
