简　　介  

　　哈林顿（查尔斯·科本 Charles Coburn 饰）和女儿简（芭芭拉·斯坦威克 Barbara Stanwyck 饰）靠行骗维生，父女两人靠着他们的聪明才智和天衣无缝的配合赚得盆满钵满。某日，在一条邮轮上，两人邂逅了名叫查尔斯（亨利·方达 Henry Fonda 饰）的年轻男子，查尔斯刚刚从亚马逊的热带雨林里归来，幸运的他继承了一笔价值不菲的遗产。
　　经过一番接触，简发现查尔斯的个性单纯，本性善良，正是绝好的行骗对象，便决定下手。然而，随着时间的推移，查尔斯的独特魅力渐渐感染了简，令后者无法自拔的爱上了她。然而，就在此时，查尔斯得知了简的真实身份和目的，愤怒的他决定彻底的离开简。
