简　　介  

　　巴塞尔（约翰·米尔斯 John Mills 饰）是山地步兵团新任命的团长，这个严肃而又认真的男人刚刚上任就决定好好的整顿一下军队内懒散的恶习。在巴塞尔到来之前，步兵团的生活可谓是闲散而又惬意，克莱辛中校（亚利克·基尼斯 Alec Guinness 饰）的日子过得如鱼得水，但现在不同了，这让克莱辛感到非常的不满。虽然表面上，克莱辛对巴塞尔做出的种种决定都十分赞同，但在背地里，他不停的煽动着下级们对于巴塞尔的抱怨和不满。
某日，克莱辛发现自己的下属竟然在背地里勾引自己的女儿，被愤怒冲昏了头脑的克莱辛狠狠的将这个不知天高地厚的小子胖揍了一顿。
