词汇教学，尤其动词教学，是英语教学中的重点、难点之一。许多理论学派都对词汇教学进行了探索性的研究，如语料库语言学便是其中的典型一例。语料库语言学无论在方法论上还是在理论层面都对词汇教学进行了卓有成效的独到研究。本书从语料库语言学入手，以语料库语言学的词汇模式理论和扩展意义单位为基础，以典型英语母语语料库和学习者语料库为语料来源，采用中介语对比分析法，探索中国非英语专业学习者在动词使用上是否与英语本族语使用者存在一定的质或量的异同。如果有差别，差别的程度如何，造成这些差异的主要原因是什么，对改进提升英语词汇教学有何启示，可以采取哪些切实有效的措施来改进提升词汇教学等，对这些重要相关问题，本书都将作一番全面深入的探索，以期能对提升中国英语学习者词汇教学的有效性提供有益参考。
