《莎士比亚英国历史剧的历史虚构研究》不同于已有的对莎士比亚英国历史剧的解读，选择从历史事实与文学虚构的辩证关系入手。这篇研究在对莎士比亚的戏剧作品进行论述前，首先追溯了西方思想史中诗（文学）与历史之争，论述视角独到新颖。不仅涉及文学、文论，更是涉及历史、哲学等范畴。通过莎剧研究，探讨了普遍意义上文学与历史的关系。其次，这篇研究追溯了莎士比亚英国历史剧的研究史，并结合文本细读，展示了旧历史主义到新历史主义再到后现代主义理论的发展与流变，提出了一些新的阐释。研究不仅采用了新历史主义研究方法，还采用了利奥塔的小叙述等理论观点，并将文学虚构的叙事学方法引入对戏剧的分析中，于精微之处洞见文本的文化和意识形态意义，帮助理解莎氏历史虚构的可能性与必然性。再次，除了著作权有争议的《爱德华三世》，这篇研究全面地分析了莎士比亚十部以英国国王命名的历史剧，论述较为完整充分。此外，本篇研究的文本细读扎实，较为系统地呈现了莎士比亚历史剧中的边缘人物与女性形象。最后，整体研究材料丰富，细读扎实，观点新颖，对莎士比亚的整体研究具有一定的积极意义，值得推荐。

许展，1984年生，河南洛阳人。目前在战略支援部队信息工程大学洛阳校区外国语言文学博士后流动站做研究工作，并为洛阳理工学院外国语学院教师。2007年毕业于信阳师范学院英语系，获文学学士学位；2010年毕业于四川大学外国语学院，获硕士学位；2019年毕业于河南大学外语学院，获博士学位。2018年至2019年由国家留学基金委公派至英国伯明翰大学进行学习。先后在《解放军外国语学院学报》《外文研究》等刊物上发表论文十余篇，参与国家社科及主持各级项目十余项。
