本书以群际接触和跨文化感知相关理论为支撑，建立研究框架，设计调查问卷，对30名来自22个国家的上海某重点高校外国专家进行一对一深度访谈，并采用文献研究和主题分析法，对笔录资料进行一、二级编码和案例内、案例间比较分析。本书关注的具体问题是：（1）受访者来华前对中国的感知情况及其信息获取渠道；（2）来华后影响受访者与中国人交往的接触条件及接触过程；（3）来华后受访者与中国人的群际接触效力，尤其是对华感知的改变。

梁晓雪，女，宁夏银川人，文学博士，现供职于上海外国语大学对外合作交流处。本科、硕士、博士均毕业于上海外国语大学英语学院，专业为英语语言文学，研究方向为跨文化交际。参编著作4部，发表学术论文多篇，主持和参与完成6项省部级课题。
